Keeping Kids Entertained at Your Wedding

From nieces and nephews to cousins and friends’ little ones, children are some of the most precious guests attending your wedding. They’re cute, sweet, energetic…and restless; however, organizing a few creative children’s activities in advance will make them happy campers!

In addition to activities, it’s important to line up some kid-friendly dining options, as Chicken Cordon Bleu and grilled salmon are probably not appealing to most kiddos. Lucky for you, kids at weddings is not a new phenomenon, and venues are usually armed with a menu tailored to little ones (chicken fingers, plain pasta, french fries, etc.). Arrange a table especially for them in a location where someone can easily keep an eye on them, and they will feel so special and important to have their own space.

Some ideas for kids:

  • Bouncy house
  • Hula hoop, jump rope and hopscotch station (if your wedding is outdoors)
  • “I Spy” scavenger hunt with disposable cameras
  • A “kids corner” with games like checkers and tic-tac-toe
  • Coloring station with wedding-themed pictures
  • A tipi gathering spot
  • A Lego-building table
