You’ve confirmed and reconfirmed every vendor, given the caterer a final head count, spoken multiple times with your florist, attended all your fittings…whether a first, second, third or “Elizabeth Taylor” bride, there’s probably a few tasks that have slipped through the proverbial cracks. Check out 10 things you’ll forget to do before and on your big day:

1) Pay Up

Write the final checks for each vendor and anyone else you’ve hired. Have a trusted friend or family member pass them out on the big day, or pay everyone in advance so you don’t have to worry about it.

2) Work That Bustle

Ensure your mom, Maid of Honor or other bridesmaid is around to bustle your dress before the reception gets going. If necessary, have one or more of them attend your last fitting so they can learn how.

3) Feed Yourself

It’s easy to forgo the food on your wedding day, as you have endless people to talk to, thank, etc. Have your Maid of Honor or other bridesmaid make a plate for you and keep your champagne glass full.

4) Lock Down a Room

A separate room for you and your party to leave bags, additional clothes and other items is pretty darn essential. Restrooms work in times of desperation, but a separate room provides a heck of a lot more privacy.

5) Let the Baggage Go

Put a friend in charge of getting your luggage into the honeymoon suite or other “getaway” car.

6) Enjoy a Late Night Snack

Ask the caterer to pack a picnic basket of leftovers for you and your new hubby to enjoy following the reception.

7) Feed the Needy

Have a ton of extra food? Arrange for your caterer to take it to a local homeless shelter or soup kitchen.

8) Take Care of the Centerpieces

If you aren’t giving the centerpieces out as favors, have someone drop them off at your local nursing home, homeless women’s shelter, or hospital.

9) Say Bye-Bye

Ask someone to get cabs for everyone who needs them, and ensure all valuables, such as gifts, knife, toasting glasses, etc., get to a safe location.

10) Assign Gofers

Entrust the “little details” to friends and family on the day after the wedding. Such details include taking your dress to the cleaners, returning your husband’s tux to the rental shop, having the bouquets preserved, and so on.
