5 Tips for Buying a Wedding Gift They Will Love

Choose the perfect wedding gift.

Trying to choose the perfect wedding gift that the couple will like, while also sticking to your budget can be a difficult task. Do you go for a keepsake, or something more useful? Should you opt for something personalised, or more traditional?

To help you make the perfect purchase, here is a guide to buying a wedding gift that they will love.

An Extra Special Honeymoon

If the couple have booked their honeymoon, help to make their newlywed vacation extra special. You could arrange for a romantic arrival with flowers, champagne and a luxury room service; book and pay for spa activities or excursions; or upgrade their room to a lavish honeymoon suite. Alternatively, if they have no honeymoon plans, purchase a hotel gift certificate, gift an activity or food hamper for a honeymoon staycation, or buy vouchers from a travel agent.

Purchase an Unforgettable Experience

As long as you know the couple well enough – if not, then purchase with caution! – buying a unique activity could be an amazing gift. Not only will you be providing newlyweds with amazing memories, but you could fulfil a long-standing dream, too. Choose from sky diving and driving around a race track for thrill seekers, to wine tasting and spa treatments for those who prefer a little luxury, as well as river cruises and hot air balloon rides.

Something for Their Home

When it comes to wedding gifts, a lot of people purchase photo frames or keep sakes for the home. While homeware can be a great present, consider something a little different. If you want to give them something wedding themed, opt for a handmade or personalised artwork or an embroidered cushion. On the other hand, you could buy an item that they will use every day, like a light or lamp from Cox & Cox, an appliance, or accessories such as candles.

Contribute Towards Their Future

Rather than going to a store and buying a gift, you could do something a little different for their future. If you have cash to splash, you could put towards a deposit for a house, or else contribute to their honeymoon fund. On the other hand, if you would like to give something a little more personal for future, such as: wine for their first, fifth and tenth anniversaries, a scratch map and planners for their travel bucket list, or a family tree that they can add to.
