Widowed woman wants full wedding
I am a 53 year old widowed woman who is about to be remarried. As I am a Minister, I want my wedding to be held in the Church. I have lots of friends and associates and my future husbands has lots of business associates who will probably attend the services. I want a nice wedding and I want it to be formal but I don't want to go overboard and want to do what is correct etiquette. Is having a full wedding party inappropriate? Help! Thanks!

Congratulations. Since you are widowed, nit divorced, you may remarry in the church and host the wedding you'd like. However, the event, attire and activites should all be age appropriate. Traditions like the garter toss should probably be abandoned. Please read all the pages of our website since we address this question in much more depth. I Do - Take Two Site Administrator
