vow renewal at 5 years?
I read on the page about vow renewals being for milestones anniversaries and generally beginning at 10 years. My husband and I want to renew our vows at 5 years because, in our short marriage, we have suffered a lot and have persevered. We were even separated due to military deployments for more than a year and on a separate occasion my husband was gone during most of my pregnancy. Would it still be considered inappropriate to renew our vows at 5 years?

Dear MsCandyLynn,
It would be appropriate as long as it doesn't appear to be a wedding and the focus is on you two renewing your vows to each other.
Best wishes,
