renewing vows announcement

I have decided i'd like for me and my hubby to renew our vows..have a simple ceremony..can i put that in our local paper as an annoucement or do they do things like that...we never had a ceremony ((went to JP's office ))and this isn't gonna be a huge one but NICE one and I want everyone to know what we are doing even if only a select few are invited its that tacky doing that?...it will be 15 years together in Dec and that's when i'm planning to have the ceremony...just wondering cuz Myself i want it done and our families would to..so do u make it public like that or NO?
