Dear Heather, Yes. You can definitely have a renewal of your wedding vows. This is something to celebrate. You are saying today that you two love each other as much today as yesterday in front of everyone you love--this is the focus. It is a bit different than a wedding, but not much. It is best to keep it just a tad less elaborate. But, you may have the dress and the party after. Your dad wouldn't walk you down the aisle. Someone may, you may walk alone, or you and your husband could walk in from the sides of the alter toward each other--no procession. The reception is more like an anniversary party because you wouldn't have most of the traditional reception components. But, it can still be a celebration of your marriage. There are many wonderful books to help you plan. One of the easiest to read and is a great resource is The Bride's Book of Etiquette. You could also get information from this article about Renewing your Vows: http://www.gettingremarried.com/renewing_wedding_vows.html Congratulations.
