Listing no gifts on vow renewal invitations
My Husband and I are hosting an informal vow renewal on our 10 year anniversary. There will only be a few of our family members and friends attending. I know that gifts are not customary and I don't want any, but the people we are inviting are always gift happy. Is there a way for me to politely ask for no gifts on the invitation or should I tell them when they rsvp?

Dear Respectful Host, Either way would be fine. It is now considered appropriate to write "no gifts" on vow renewal invitations. Congratulations! Rebecca Black, Etiquette Consultant Etiquette Now http://www.etiquettenow.com
