showers and party etiquette

I will try to be brief.
Second wedding. VERY small. Family and a few friends only. NO gifts. Some of my friends want to have an engagement party for me, however, I am concerned about etiquette. Am I obligated to invite everyone from the engagement party to the wedding?? Help!

Yes, everyone invited to an engagement party should also be invited to the wedding. Since engagement parties are optional events please thank you friend for her consideration but explain why you wish to decline her offer.
