Second Wedding Bridal Shower
Please help me...I want to host a bridal shower for my sister. This is her second wedding. I have a little problem though. I know a lot of people want to get together to celebrate my sister's exciting day but the wedding is going to be a small family wedding. My question is how can I tactfully host a bridal shower knowing that most of the people are not invited to the wedding? I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Should i just not plan the shower at all?

Most people are not honored (in fact, we hear from many who are insulted) to be invited to the shower and not to the wedding so, only those invited to the wedding and, only those closest to the bridal couple should be invited to this shower. Also, anyone who gave a gift at a bridal shower for either the bride or the groom for their first wedding is not obligated to give another gift -- though some may anyway. Many women who have already been married aren't in need of any bridal shower gifts so it may be best to skip it. If you feel like you want to have some sort of pre-wedding celebration for your sister maybe plan a non-gift giving event like a ladies night out or a luncheon. I Do - Take Two Site Administrator
