Private Wedding - Should We Register for Gifts?
We are having a private religious wedding - just the two of us. My family wants to give us a party a few weeks later. We don't expect gifts but some people have already asked what we would like. Is it appropriate to register somewhere?

You're correct not to expect gifts since the wedding ceremony is the gift giving event. However, some reception guests may want to give you a gift so you can go ahead and register. But, you won't send registry information in the invitations. Please only discuss the gift registry if asked directly. You can tell close family members where you're registered and they can tell people if they are asked. I Do - Take Two Site Administrator
