     Is a wedding reception necessary?

I am planning to get married at an underwater hotel with my kids present. No one else will be invited due to the circumstances. Is it necessary to have a reception/party for family/friends upon our return?

Thanks,

Luanne Betz

Dear Luanne:

You only need to have refreshments (reception) for the guests invitated to your wedding and since, in this case, there are no guests, you're fine. It is not necessary to host a wedding reception upon your return. Only do this if you feel like having a party.
