I know you say no veil however as my daughter and I were trying on tiaras the saleslady put a short veil on and my daughter started to cry. She begged me to get it and wear it. What do I do?

Here's a good place to begin teaching your daughter about etiquette and to also remind her that you're the mom (and you make the decisions about what you'll wear)! Let her know that you'll extend the same courtesy to her when she marries. You could wear a veil down the back if you are having a semiformal or formal wedding. The formality of your wedding and the style of your dress should dictate the style of veil you select; keeping away from the overly frilly or very long and ornate. The blusher veil (over the face) is still only considered appropriate for the young, first time bride and should be omitted by the encore bride. I Do - Take Two Site Administrator
