Groom Attire For Beach Wedding
We are having a 4:00 pm beach wedding in June (2nd for me, 3rd for him). My dress will be ivory tea length. Would an ivory dinner jacket with black pants be okay for him or should he wear a suit? He is non-active Navy. Would his dress uniform be appropriate?

Dear Fordv, It is just a bit early in the day for the dinner jacket. Plus, it may be too formal. The same goes for his dress uniform. The suit may be best. Best wishes, Rebecca Black, Etiquette Consultant Etiquette Now http://www.etiquettenow.com

What color of suit would you suggest? Black or would a lighter color work?

I've seen a lot of men wear khaki linen pants with a white linen shirt. Very comfortable and fitting with the beach theme. I Do - Take Two Site Administrator

Actually, that is exactly what I would have suggested. That attire would fit perfectly with the formality of the event. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Consultant Etiquette Now http://www.etiquettenow.com
