Formal wedding dress for third marriage

This will be my third marriage. My fiancee has been married once. I want to wear a formal gown with a detachable train, is this appropiate? We will be married at church in the evening.

Yes, these days it is acceptable. Encore brides may even wear a simple veil, just not a blusher.
