Dress with Train for Second Marriage

This is the second marriage for both of us. We are being married ocean front on the veranda at a beach house with 50 guests at 5:30 and then moving to a club to a buffet/dancing reception for 150 guests. I have a dress which has 2 skirts: one with an extensive train--bustleable--for the ceremony and will change into a dance skirt for the reception. Groom and attendants wearing tuxes. Should I keep the train extended or bustle it for the ceremony? It is a ballgown. I have a birdcage 12" veil with feather headpiece? Is this deemed appropriate?

Dear Rette2tango,

I'm not the fashion expert, so I don't know where to bustle and not. There isn't any thing "etiquettely" incorrect about it. But, there is a concern about your veil. Yours is very similar to a "blusher" veil. These are reserved for first time brides.

Best wishes,
