Appropriate attire for daughter in second wedding
I have a 13 year old daughter, she will be 14 by the time I am having my 2nd wedding. She is less "girly" than my other two daughters. She has agreed to stand with me at the ceremonyI would like to know what is proper, as far as attire for a girl filling this role. She doesnt really want to wear a frilly dress or anything like that, but is a tux too far? This girl is a lil on the heavy side. and although she doesnt really care, I dont want her to get ridiculed at the ceremony either. I am open for any suggestions or idea's.
Thank you
Chris

Dear Chris,
Typically, she would be dressed as a Jr. Bridesmaid, which is the same dress as your other bridesmaids, only more age appropriate. If she is the only one, she should be dress in the same formality as you. A tux would most likely make her look as if she is trying to make some sort of statement. Even if she were on the groom's side, she would dress as a bridesmaid. So, this would not be appropriate.
If your wedding is informal, she could dress in a nice pant suit.
Best wishes,
