Who will perform our vow renewal

My 25th anniversary is comming up and my hubby and I would like to renew our vows after trying for 5 years now. 25 years ago we went to see family in Las Vegs and decided to bite the bullet so to speak, we had been planning a wedding back then but when we went to Vegas we just said what the heck, so we planned and suceeded in get married in 12 hours from when we came up with the idea. Well we have never had a honeymoon to speak of and we have 3 children grown now and our 7th grandbaby due with in the next 3 weeks. PLus we have started all over again with a family, by taking on raising 2 of our grandbabies, thanx goodness I'm still young to do this, lol. Hubby and I are 2 different religions. We don't want any certain religion to perform the ceremony. So, who else is legally quailified to perform this ceremony for us?

Hello Tammy,

Officiants from the following organizations will perform your renewal of
vows ceremony without religious connotation for interfaith couples.

An Interfaith minister from the Association of Interfaith Ministers
A Unitarian Universalist minister from the Unitarian Universalist
Association
A licensed officiant from the American Ethical Union
A licensed officiant from the American Humanist Foundation

These organizations can all be found on line---through websites.
Their central telephone numbers are all listed in my book.

Renewing your vows is a wonderful thing to do for yourselves, your children
and your grandchildren.
Wishing you much joy!
Blessings,

Mamacat:

Regarding your question: "...we dont want any certain relegion to perform the ceremony, so whom else is legally qualified to perform this ceremony for us?"

Since you are already married, anyone can perform your vow renewal. To my knowledge, there is no statute that limits or prohibits anyone from officiating / conducting / overseeing a vow renewal. If you are looking for an inter-faith or non-denominational approach to your renewal, try locating an officiant in a local wedding magazine or use a resource like http://www.topweddingsites.com (then click on your area at the bottom of that home page).
