     Private Catholic Marriage Ceremony?

My fiance' and I have been engaged for 2 1/2 years now. We are both baptised Catholic, but are not getting married in the Catholic Church for another year. We would actually like to have a private Catholic ceremony, but we are not sure if that is "Allowed" or if it is even practiced in the Catholic Church. Neither my fiance' or I have much of a family, and we would like to have the ceremony be private. We know that the ceremony can be performed during a regular mass, but we feel as if that is too impersonal. We would only like the Priest, my fiance' and I and and a witness to be there. Is this possible? Do Catholic churches do this? Thank you for any responses!

Talk to your local Pastor --- I believe something like that would be possible. FYI --- when they talk about a marriage in the Mass -- it is not a regular Sunday mass. It is a Mass especially for your wedding. I do not believe any Priest would insert the Rite of Marriage into a reguarly scheduled Mass.
