Church Annulment for Blessing of the Marriage
My husband was married by civil ceremony and divorced more the 10 years ago. We were married by civil ceremony as well 3 years ago, but wish to have our union blessed. Does he need a Church annulment before we can have our vows blessed?

May God bless your husband for serving his country and fighting for our freedom. And congratulations on wanting your marriage blessed by the Catholic Church.
If your husband was Catholic at the time of his previous marriage and his former spouse is still living, he will need to fill out the short form of annulment for marrying outside the Church. If he was not Catholic, he will most likely need to go through the longer process of annulment.
Please talk to your priest, who can advise you better after you give him the details he needs.
God bless and guide you.
