Catholic marrying a Presbyterian the 2nd time

I am a divorced Catholic remarrying a divorced Presbyterian who will not be converting. What are the rules around remarrying within the Catholic church?

The Catholic Church has come around since Vatican II. He will not have to convert but you will probably need an annulment. I say probably because I do not know all the facts. I would suggest you speak to your local parish priest.

A non-Catholic does not need to convert to marry in a Catholic church. However, since your first marriage was apparently in a Catholic church you will need an annulment - and your fiance may also need an annulment, depending on the circumstances of his first marriage. If his first marriage was what the Catholic church would see as a valid marriage (first time for both; both non-Catholic) then he would need to apply for an annulment also. Usually the Tribunal will want both of you to send in your applications together, to make sure both of you are free to marry again in a Catholic ceremony. Your local parish priest can give you the applications and discuss details with you.
