While many annulments are granted every year they are not automatic. In order for an annulment to be successful you have to demonstrate that there was a fact that made the marriage contract invalid. Such facts could be immaturity, a partner not disclosing a material fact, psychological issues, etc. It is best to discuss each case with your church. Once you apply for an annulment an advocate will be assigned to you. This is someone who will advise you. God Bless Deacon Bob Tousey Independant catholic Deacon
