     south carolina marriage license law

Hi! I have a divorce going through the courts in TX. My divorce will be final 20 October. I was wanting to know if I can apply for a marriage license this 9 October. I wont get married until 30 October though. Will the courts of SC still issue me one? I plan on getting remarried in Richland County,SC. My future husband is redeploying soon so is there some type of military clause also? Please help!!!

I believe your divorce has to be final before you can apply for a new marriage license but I would call the office of the county clerk where you will be marrying to be certain. I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say "military clause" so be sure to ask the county clerk that question when you call.

Please thank your fiance for fighting for us! We wish you the best.
