     Xmas card announcements?

My fiance and I are planning to get married in early December. We have decided on a seasonal theme for the wedding, and are keeping our guest list small...immediate family and closest personal friends. This is the second marriage for both of us, and we prefer a small, intimate gathering.

Since we will not be inviting everyone, I have thought of doing our wedding announcement with our Christmas cards. In other words, sending them as one card. Is this approriate?

This is what I have come up with so far on what they will say...

"The greatest gift of all / this season is love./ On Friday, December third/ Two thousand and four/ Michael *** and Rebecca ***/ pledged their lives and families/ together as one./ In our time of joy,/ we wish you the merriest of holidays and/ the wonder of a new year."

What do you think?

Thanks!

Great idea as long as everyone you're sending a Christmas card to is invited to the wedding.
