Mailing Invitations

When is it appropriate to mail wedding invitations? We'll be having a lot of people coming in from out of town and will be including hotel info in the invitation, as well.

You can begin to address your wedding invitations as early as three months before the wedding if you are addressing them yoursef. If you are having calligraphy done please consult the calligrapher since they may need more time. Wedding invitations are usually sent 8 weeks before the wedding. This is enough time to allow guests to make travel arrangements.
