including children of various ages

My fiance and I have both been married previously and both have children. I have two sons ages 17 and 8 and he has a son age 20. The issue we are having is finding a way to incorporate my youngest son into the ceremony/planning to make him feel a part of things (because he obviously will be the most impacted) without pushing aside the other two. Both of my children are very accepting of the situation and have dealt previously with the remarriage of their father. My fiances son has not handled the divorce of his parents well and does not at all seem pleased with the idea of our union. I would love to have all of the children involved. I originally envisioned my fiances son being his best man, but he does not want to ask him because he is not happy about the situation and feels that it is asking him to take sides between him and his mother. How do I incorporate my son to help his transition and leave his out? I would feel horrible. If I don't have my son in the wedding how do explain to him why when he is expecting it without my request? His brother is happy either way.
