Honoring a deceased adult child

Our wedding will come about one year after my fiance lost his firstborn son, a young adult, in an accident. Is there a tasteful way to honor this young man's memory at our wedding?
He and I discussed this the other day. I suggested that a flag from the branch of the service in which his son was serving at the time of his death might be a quiet, meaningful way to honor his son; the thought reduced him to tears. My sense is that he would like to honor his son (one of three adult children of his; I have one) if we can devise a way that won't be too painful for everyone.
Suggestions, please?

Although very sad, this isn't related to secoind weddings, necessarily. So, will you post this question at Top Wedding Questions where there are more experts to help answer general wedding questions like yours?

Forgive me. I thought this would be the appropriate place as the question is specifically about including a child....a child who is no longer living. And children usually result from previous marriages.
I've asked in several places. I give up.
