I will be marrying a wonderful man this summer. He has two children. I was told that after we marry and (gosh forbid!!) something happen to him I have to split everything with the kids or they get majority. Is this true?
Since I work just as hard as my future husband and right now mostly everything is in my name,(but that will change in the future), how can I protect myself?
We will be writing new wills after we are married.

The best way to protect yourself is with a prenuptial agreement or "prenup". Keep property owned before marriage in your own name. Only property owned by your husband will be split.
