[crazy][purple]I have a delema, we are having a civil ceremony at the court house, and a reception afterwards...also having a reception in july at another location, for family in a different state. how do i word the invitations to the reception for people in kansas, and how do i word the reception cards for the people in michigan? I am assuming that they would be the same, just with different places on them. Also, my parents are divorced, how do i word the announcements with including my 7 year old as well? I know this is a tricky one, but I hope that I can find some answers here...[/purple][shocked]

Dear Bride,

Typically for a second wedding, the parents do not announce or invite unless the bride is very young or the parents are paying for the wedding. Usually the couple issues the invitations and announcements.

This invitation could be used for both receptions, just change the date, time, and locations for each: The pleasure of your company is requested at the wedding reception of You and Mr. Him Date time Location

If you wish to have your child to announce your wedding: Your child's name (you could use Master) announce the marriage of her/his mother Your Name to Groom's Name Date Location (Optional)
