Hi,

My ex-husband and I recently applied for an annulment and have not yet heard a response. I'm wondering what impact the revised annulment guidelines issues by the Vatican will have on open but outstanding cases?

I was non-Catholic when I married although I am going through RCIA now, my ex-husband is Catholic and we had a Catholic ceremony. I am engaged and hoping to remarry within the Catholic church. Do I have any chance?

I too am hoping to "remarry" in the Catholic Church. I've begun the annulment process, but would really love it if there were a "statue of limitations" since I was married in the Catholic Church in 1979 and divorced in 1983. Hey, it's been 22 years!

Dear Jackie:

You should contact your local parish priest. So much seems to depend on which priest you are dealing with, the couple's individual history/story....and often...money! On a personal note, my finace has been waiting almost a year now for his annulment. Hang in there.
