My fiance & I have been thinking of having his 3 girls (ages 19,17,& 13) and my daughter (age 9) work out the plan for our wedding. His first wedding was a traditional one, mine was in the minister's office. Neither of us have any "set in stone" ideas as to how we would like our wedding to be. Our plan was to pick the date & give the girls a deadline & a budget. Maybe it is too crazy of an idea..... There would likely be only a few guests, his closest friends & mine along with some mutaul friends. We don't live near any immediate family & aren't sure if they would attend. Any suggestions?

Children planning 2nd wedding

How wonderfully laid back and refreshing! What an awesome experience this can be for your children. They will learn a lot about finances, planning and working together. You and your groom should oversee the planning though, unless you don't mind having to dance the night away to some crazy rap band or eating Pizza with Chuckie Cheese! (Actually, their pizza is really good!) [

We have some suggestion on this page for including children in your wedding planning.
You two sound like terrific parents...congrats!

It sounds as if the day could be a lot of fun - I would be a bit reluctant to let the children have total control of the planning - a family conference might be better. But the sky is the limit and you need to give your opinion about what is important for you as a couple on this special day.
