i am very concerned, my boyfriend comes from a very catholic raised family. i am a member of our United Church of Christ church. i have been married before and had a big wedding, but i want us to have the wedding he and his family would want, i am afraid we may be getting off to a bad start with his mother if we do not marry in a catholic church. i am very confused on how to handle this...

Dear Concerned:

Ask your fiance to make an appointment for the two of you to meet with his parish priest. It may be possible for you to be married in the Catholic church if you can get an annulment. Tell the priest about your former marriage and why you divorced and he will guide you as necessary.

First, ask yourself if YOU feel comfortable being married in a Catholic church. If so, begin the process with a serious of questions to your local Catholic pastor as to what is involved. You may have to convert to Catholicism.

Your husband to be knew which denomination you belonged when he fell in love with you! Take comfort and strenght from that.

Remember: Where there is great love, there are always miracles!

Keep your heart open. Do the research, and the right path will be made known to you.
