The dress that I have picked out for my second wedding is off-white/ivory and the top has an overlay of lace with a delicate print of pink/purple/green thru it. It is comfortable and flattering to my figure. I am just wondering about the appropriateness of a print dress. Is this ok?

Really most anything goes these days. I would choose a dress suited to the time of day and season and to mirror the formality of your wedding. If the dress is comfortable, well fitting and appropriate for the style of wedding you are having then a print should be fine. If you have any photos of the dress please feel free to upload it here.

Dear 2nd Time Bride,
In the olden days, brides were married in their best dress. They were
multi-colored, with patterns and became the bride's "Sunday Best" until they
did not fit any more. Wear the color that will make your skin glow and your
heart smile. As for the style of dress, it depends on the type of ceremony
and reception you are planning. You are the guest of honor so you can plan the
event and attire to suit your whim.
