I read recently that young widows should wear a light purple or lilac colored wedding dress for their second marriage. I was just wondering what the tradition was behind it?

I have never heard of this tradition nor can I come up with any logic that would make it so. I'd say wear the color you like, that suits your age, wedding style and skin tone as you would for any other remarriage.

I agree. I've never heard or read of this tradition. I agree that you should be able to wear any color you wish.
