This is a second marriage for both of us. We are going to have a very small (only immediate family and kids) wedding (don't know when yet) but each have a large circle of friends/ family whom we would like to meet and celebrate with. We are having a "luau" themed party to celebrate our engagement. Does the wording on the invitation matter? Can we call it an Engagement Party or should we say "a party to celebrate our engagement"? Want to follow etiquette protocol but am confused and would love some advice!

Engagement Party Question
#2
Dear Dcbride,
Only those invited to the wedding may be invited to any prewedding party. So, there should be no engagement party. You may host a reception after your wedding though.
Best wishes,
