I just found this website and learned that I've made a mistake in sending out the invitations. Our wedding will be a private civil ceremony and we are having a reception the following week for friends and family. The wedding is a week away.
On the invitation I added, "No gifts please," which I now realize is a mistake, but the invitations have already been delivered. Should we still register? Do you have any other advise on how to remedy the situation?
Thank you!

Dear Hw,
Registering or no really doesn't matter. And, there really is nothing that you can do about mentioning gifts on the invitations since they have already been mailed. Just try not to think about it at this moment. At least you weren't asking for gifts. [unsure]
