This is a second wedding for both of us (firsts were more than 30 years ago) and we'll be combining two households. Someone suggested a gift registry at place like Lowe's or Home Depot for materials for a deck or sunroom. We really don't need anything in the traditional gift line. Is this idea too strange or tasteless for a second wedding?
Thank you so much!

Non-traditional gift registry for second wedding

Dear Sophie -
These types of registries are fine since they are just suggestions for gifts. Please remember not to include this information in the wedding invitation. Home Depot Wedding Gift Registry - Register for wedding gifts for your home. Please refer to the rules you agreed to when you registered when posting (spell check, one question per post, etc). to make certain your questions will get answered. Best of luck.

I agree. Plus, please remember to register for plenty of lower cost items, so not to appear presumptuous--like you expect your guests to only give you expensive gifts.

Thanks for both the good advice and the posting requirements. I'll make sure to follow through in future posts.
