I have been widowed 7 years after a 25 year marriage. I did not start dating until 4-1/2 years after my husband's death. After 2-1/5 years of dating, I meet a man I connected with on all levels. He was recently widowed after his wife had been very ill for 5 years. I was worried whether he was ready, but he assured me he was. Almost overnight we fell hard for each other. After we were together intimately, he panicked, and then his 16 year daughter laid the guilt trip on him. Now he will not take my calls, but has replied to my emails saying he is not ready and he made a mistake. He said he doesn't know about a future for us. Do I just leave him alone or send an encouraging email now an then or leave a voice message for him once in awhile. I don't want to drop off the map. I have waited 7 years to meet this man, I really don't want to lose what I think could be a great relationship. I am more then willing to give him time. I have told him that, but he still will not speak with me on the phone.
