I am planning on getting married in a Catholic Church next year. For immigration purposes, we were already legally married - but not in the Catholic church as we were unable to do our pre-cana because we reside in different countries. We are not currently living together but we are legally married. We would like to know what process we would have to go through to have our marriage recognized in the Catholic church. We are both Catholics and have received first communion so we are allowed to get married there, but we would like to know the process to go so given our circumstances. Thanks [:)]

Please review our articles on Convalidation in the Catholic Church and The Blessing of the Marriage Ceremony which you can get to by clicking the links on the left side of this page.
