I am planning our 10th anniversy next August and am thinking of having it on our large balcony with some close friends. I plan to have a cocktail dress, and keep it simple, with a small party around the garden, maximum 20 guests. Can I have an arch of flowers under which we stand with our backs to the guests?
Many thanks.

There aren't a lot of rules when it comes to vow renewal ceremonies, however, you do need to plan carefully. I see that you've given this a lot of thought and are on the right track. An arch of flowers would be lovely. The rule of thumb is to keep the ceremony from appearing as though it is a wedding. Please review the pages on vow renewals and if you have any new questions that are not answered there, please post them as new, one question at a time according to our forum rules. Please use the search and spell check tools as well. This really helps keep us able to answer as many new questions as possible.

Have a wonderful anniversary and congratulations on 10 years of wedded bliss!
