I am 35 and my fiance is 43. I have a 14 year old daughter and he has 21 and 25 year old daughters. To try to involve all three girls in the wedding, would it be appropriate to have his two girls walk him down the aisle and my daughter walk with me down the aisle and then have them stand by our side? We are having an outdoor wedding. It's non-traditional and the priest has no objections but we just were not sure if that would be ok to do?

Why can't they hold the traditional bridesmaids' roles? Any reason?

I agree. They very well could be attendants. But, if this is what all of you want, it is perfectly fine for the informal wedding.

Their mom my fiances ex-wife got married last year and the girls weren't in the wedding for whatever reason so they feel it wouldn't be right to be in their dad's wedding as a bridesmaid but they do want to take some part in it. That's why we thought this would be a good role for them. We respect their opinion and wishes as they are 21 and 25.
