I'm getting married to a wonderful man who my 2 younger children, ages 5 (girl) and 11 (boy), call Daddy. I also have a 13 year old son who is also very close to my fiance. We all live together and I would like all of the children to be part of the ceremony. Of course, my 5 yr old daughter wants to be a flowergirl, but my 11 year old son would like to be the ring bearer. He will be 12 when we marry. Is that too old? He is small for his age - wears a size 10. Also, my fiance has a best man already and I was wondering what my 13 year old son could do.

Yes, the 12 year old is too old to be ring bearer. Sometime we can push it if they are small but not this much. I'm afraid he will look silly. You wouldn't want to make a 12 year old fell any more self-conscience than he already is naturally at this age. Ask the two boys to be groomsmen or ushers.

I completely agree. This is much more appropriate.

They can escort you, if you like. However, they are quite young so this is more of a personal decision.
