I am inviting my rabbi, who is a woman and also a PhD, and her husband with a different last name who is also a cantor and a PhD, and is working as a college professor at the moment. How do I address their invitation? Oh yes, she is officiating at my wedding but her husband isn't singing--so she is there in a professional role but he is not.

thanks!

Dear Erdoran,

You have great instinct. And, just to make this more difficult, you could use any of these examples. They are perfect. I supposed the one way to choose the example (they are all correct) for your purpose is to consider their involvement. So, perhaps this time you could use Rabbi Jane Doe and Dr. John Smith.

Best wishes,
