We are getting married, both for the second time, in a ceremony that only our children will attend/participate in. We have three children each, ranging in ages from 10-20. I would like some help in coming up with appropriate wording for the wedding announcement that includes the children. I have read suggestions of how the children can do the announcing or inviting but I do not feel comfortable deciding that for them. I could ask them to and they would be fine with doing so but it's not the same and I really don't want to announce it that way anyway, I just cannot find any other good advice as to how to include so many children's names. I do want our friends to know all of the children's names and I want the children to be included in the announcement. We are including a wallet size picture of all 6 children with the announcement. Thank you for your help with this.

Dear Georgia,

Typically, your names would be at the top of the announcement with the children under yours listed by age--oldest to youngest. For example: Sandra Jane Stone and Mr. James Charles Black with our children all six oldest to youngest announce their marriage Date Location

Am I to assume I should just use their first name? It will take up a good deal of space on the card to list first and last.

Their last names would be the same as yours, so it would make sense to only list their first names.

It still does not tell people which child has which last name. Is this important?

It really doesn't matter. If you would like to include their last names, that is fine. It is entirely your choice.
