I have questions about my mother in laws dress and what she wants my daughter to wear. The bride is 51 and is wearing a low cut bridal gown--seems a little 'young' for her? Also she wants my daughter who is 4 to wear a dress that matches her--not low cut--I'm fine with this but she also wants her to wear a tiara and a veil. As far as I know that is not done am I wrong? Is the bride wrong? A little skeptical on the whole thing being her 3rd marriage and all. I know it is a very exciting time but she is an older bride and I just don't think she should be planning this wedding as if it wasw her first? I don't mean to be ignorant so please set me straight--thank you Jenn

Dear Jenn,

She can wear a nice wedding dress that suits her body and age, as it doesn't matter if it is her third. It can be a bit revealing, but it should be tasteful. This is a personal choice.

The miniature bride is not something that is typically done, except for some cultures. Most find it odd. But, in the cultures that include it, it is thought of as sweet. So, it is best to know if this is part of her culture.

Best wishes,
