My husband and I were married 12 years this month. We were married in an outdoor wedding in shorts and tank tops (it was a last minute thought), we are wanting to renew our vows with a more traditional setting, with a dress for me and him in a tux as well as the children. We are wanting our preacher at church to do the ceremony. He has never had a traditional wedding and my first was. We both have been married once before. We aren't wanting a "huge" event, just that for friends and family that weren't at our original vow exchange. We now have a total of 4 children and 2 grandchildren, we are wanting our little ones to be involved. His parents were in Colorado when we got married. My father, who has since past away, and my mother were the only ones there. We want to renew our vows for us, but also to share this special day with his side of the family. What is acceptable for a vow renewal ceremony, is a low key dress and vow renewal cake going too far?
