This is a second marriage for both of us and we both have 3 children apiece from our 1st marriages. We want to have all six of our children stand up for us. Is it legal? Can they act as witnesses? If not, can someone who is guest and not standing up act as a witness? Our children range in age from 5 -14.

No. not really. I think most states require two adult witnesses; the children are all minors and probably therefore not sufficient. I don't think the law requires the witnesses to be standing up for you. Please check with your locality.
