My fiance and I are planning a morning wedding ceremony followed with brunch. What is appropriate for me to wear at a morning wedding? We are in our late 40's and my children will be standing up for us (21 and 22). My daughter would like us in a gown with some glitter, but I"m unsure if that is appropriate for a morning wedding. Length? Colour? Sequence? Jacket? What is appropriate?

Dear Jewelette,

It depends on how formal this will be. It does appear as if this won't be too formal. Most likely a suit for your groom and an informal gown for you would be best. No glitter or anything shiny. This is reserved for the evening.

Best wishes,
