My husband and I were married when we were 16 at the magistrate office in our local town. His mom & sister & a friend were I witnesses. We were wanting to renew our vows for our 15th Anniversary.

I have read some of these post but I am still confused.

I am planning on not having any attendants but I was gonna let my boys escort me down , its gonna be a June (outside wedding) around 1 or 2 pm. I have decided on daisies as my flower, I have recently purchased a daisie head piece to wear in a halo shape.

Since I never had a wedding can we dress as we want or is their still some rules to follow for a renewal?

Can I wear an off white dress with a little bit of a train & my husband wear a tux?

Do my boys need to wear tuxes? Or can they just wear dress pants and a simple shirt?

Dear Renewing,

The only thing you really should avoid is creating a ceremony that mirrors a wedding. A dress with a train may appear as a wedding dress. But, this is something that you will have to discern.

Your husband's attire should reflect the formality of the event. If your dress is formal, his attire should be formal also. But, a tux is formal evening attire. It is not daytime attire.

Your boys should be dressed as their father.
