My fiancee and I found a hall for our wedding, both our second. We need to get the deposit in by Wednesday(tomorrow!) I'm not sure this is what I want to do!!!! I mean, I do want to marry him but I don't really want to spend $7000!! We have thought of having something small in our back yard, which is really the only option for a backyard location, but I don't want the clean up before, after or during plus catering decor etc. You kinda have to plan the same things for a small wedding or a larger one. I don't want to look back and have any regrets We booked for June 2006 so there is time to plan and I can cut many costs. My co-worker is video taping our day and that will be our wedding gift, cake will be discounted, etc. We will be having about 100 people.

I need advice so badly! My fiancee doesn't care how it happens, he keeps saying he just wants to marry me. I do understand that it's the marriage that matters not the ceremony but I really want something memorable and fun, romantic.

HELP!! HELP!!
Nikki

Dear Nikki:

Unless you have your heart set on this particular location and you wouldn't be heartbroken if you lost your date then call the banquet manager immediately and tell him that you are unsure. Take some more time to decide what you really want, consider all of your options. Then, if you still want to have your second wedding at this location call them back and see if your date is still avaialble or ask for anothr date.

You are correct that the marriage and ceremony are what matters most; the party or reception following is just that, a party. However, memories of the day, which include the receprion, and any regrets, will be part of your wedding day experience. Take some time and make your choice based on what you can afford and what you want.
